Gas-oil separators (gas separators) are used for the primary separation of fluids in oil purification plants. They are designed only for low-gas liquids. They are deployed at oil and gas oilfields, gas-distributing plants, and energy complexes.
The gas-oil separator is a horizontal metal cylinder (vessel) that consists of the following components:
- primary separation device;
- anti-foam nozzle;
- expanded steel plate to ensureuniform flow velocity;
- wire string demisters for gas treatment;
- connections for inflow and outflow of fluid separation products;
- control and measuring instruments.
