LNG tanks are designed for liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage and supplied with evacuated perlite insulation, used at the working pressure inside the tank no more than 1.8 MPa (18 kgf/cm2), and evacuated heat insulation at the working temperature of the wall no lower than minus 196 °С and no more than plus 40 °С. The tanks have the following structural features:
- horizontal or vertical type;
- double-walled shell;
- aboveground installation.
